As with all KitSound products, the sound quality has been engineered to get the most from the space possible. The rear firing speaker is designed to be happy when placed close to wall. It literally bounces the sound off the wall and round your room giving you a surprisingly loud and detailed audio experience for something so small.

iPhone/iPod Dock
The KitSound XDock provides an easily accessible iPhone/iPod dock with plenty of smart features. The XDock charges your Apple devices and, at the same time, allows you to play music through the loud speaker. Simple controls allow you to play/pause your iPhone/iPod, skip tracks, fast forward or rewind the track and increase or decrease the volume at the touch of a button. If you're listening at night, the handy sleep function will turn off your iPhone/iPod after a pre-determined period of time. Up to 90 minutes in 10 minute segments can be set. After which time the music will slowly fade out and stop, allowing you a peaceful night's sleep. The XDock can also be set to wake you up to your iPhone/iPhone's music. Simply set one of the two alarms to the time that you wish to be woken up and set to iPhone/iPod. At that time, the volume fades in and plays your pre-determined track from your iPhone/iPod at the pre-determined volume. If you need some extra zzz's, there is a sneaky snooze function that will give you an extra 8 minutes of sleeping time
Alarm Clock/Radio
The KitSound XDock is also a fully functioned alarm clock/radio. The large LCD panel displays the time and whether either of the two alarms have been set. The LCD panel's display is easy to read but the subtle colour won't keep you awake at night. It also displays which musical input is currently in use. When set to Clock, the time changes to show you the FM radio settings. Tuning in to your favourite station is easy, either press the advance button to scan manually or hold to auto-scan. When you have found your favourite station, it can be saved to memory. Up to 10 stations can be memorised. Again if you are listening at night, the handy sleep function will turn off the radio after a pre-determined period of time. The radio can be set as the alarm in the same way as your iPod/iPhone's music. Simply set one of the two alarms to the time that you wish to be woken up and set to Radio. At that time, the volume fades in and plays your pre-determined radio station at the pre-determined volume. The sneaky snooze function that will again give you an extra 8 minutes of sleeping time if required.
Other Music Devices
If you don't own an iPhone or iPod or just fancy listening to another device, the KitSound XDock has an auxiliary input jack conveniently located at the rear of the device. Simply connect your music device via a 3.5mm audio cable and you are able to play it's music through the XDock's loudspeaker.

The KitSound XDock has been designed with you in mind with subtle touches that make life that little bit easier. Whether it's the fact that the KitSound XDock automatically syncs the time with your iPhone/iPod when connected, the inclusion of battery back-up to save your alarm/radio settings if it becomes disconnected from the mains, or how the “Shhhh!” sleep button has been made slightly larger than the others so it's easier to find on a monday morning.
